After 4 days going back and forth to the vet, Astro finally got checked into Doggie ICU on Friday night. This afternoon I got to bring him home…good news for the family and the bank account!
His heart arrhythmia is much better, but we still have to keep a close watch on him. The cardiologist (vet cardiologist) wants to see him again next week and look at his heart via ultrasound (there goes the rest of the bank account) to give his heart a full two weeks of recovery after the surgery.
The ICU vet said Astro will be pretty wiped out for the next couple of days, as he got very little rest while in the clinic. This is him after a few minutes at home.
We are thrilled to have him home, and we just keep praying that he’ll get better and better. I can’t thank all of you enough for you prayers, concerns and thoughts. You truly sustained me through a very difficult week!
